Upgrade and Update policies
Summary
When a new version is released, there is a free or discounted update available.
Solution
Updates for all Orneta products are provided free of charge, while Upgrades may be provided at a lower cost for a limited time following the release; Orneta has provided a free Upgrade to owners of versions purchased within 3 months of the release of a new upgrade.
Updates are defined with minor version increases and may include bug fixes and new functionality. For instance, if version 3.0.0 was purchased, any version beginning with 3. Is considered an update.
Upgrades are defined with major version increases, and may include new functionality and drastic design changes. For instance, if version 2.0.0 was purchased, any version starting from 3.0.0 is considered an upgrade.
You can also downgrade a serial number for free by visiting the archives section. This allows you to use alder versions if you have purchased a newer version.
