Enable sync support for Windows Mobile Smartphone

Summary

The NoteSync component has been enabled on the device after installation. You may need to enable NoteSync synchronization for your Personal Computer. Follow these steps to enable NoteSync synchronization.

Solution

Follow these steps to enable NoteSync synchronization for your desktop:
  1. Click here to enable Outlook Notes Sync for Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone); please select run when prompted
  2. Follow the settings for Windows Vista or Windows XP
  3. When your device synchronizes it will synchronize your Outlook Notes

  1. Open the ‘Sync Center’; double click the Task Bar Icon
     Click the Windows Vista Sync Center Taskbar Icon
  2. Open the ‘Windows Mobile Device Center’; double click your device
     Click your Windows Vista Sync Center Device
  3. Ensure you are at the ‘Home’ screen, select ‘Home’
     Click the Home link of the Windows Mobile Device Center
  4. Open ‘Change content sync settings’ under ‘Mobile Device Settings’
    Click the 'Change content sync settings' link under 'Mobile Device Settings'
  5. Select ‘Notes’ and press 'Save'; check to enable sync
    Enable the Outlook Notes Sync

PLEASE NOTE: If the Notes item is not visible, Click here to enable Outlook Notes Sync for Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone); please select run when prompted.

  1. Open ActiveSync; double click the Task Bar Icon
    double click the ActiveSync Task Bar Icon
  2. Open ActiveSync Options; select Tools > Options

  3. Select Notes; check to enable synchronization
    Select Notes; check to enable synchronization
