Reader Mobile, by Orneta is an indispensable viewer of any Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) or Text (.txt) document directly from your Windows Mobile-based device. PDF Reader Mobile Overview

PDF Reader Mobile has been designed to be simple and elegant, while allowing easy access to powerful features. Powerful features like text searching allow you to easily identify parts of the document. Context sensitive soft keys automatically change depending upon the action you are performing. Read without annoying interruptions by enabling the backlight. Choose the font that fits your needs. Access your most used files easily and conveniently from the recent files menu. The ease of use doesn't make sacrifices to powerful features, you can even save the document as Text for editing.

Usage

PDF Reader Mobile is simple and powerful, all of the functions are accessible directly from the device buttons. Open, Save, and navigate each document from the menu, or with the directional pad with ease.

TIPS:

  • To open PDF Reader Mobile, select Start from the main screen, and select PDF Reader Mobile from the programs list.

Playback

The Playback Feature allows reading of eBook's completely hands free, with the unique playback system! Set a reading speed, for instance 100 words per minute, and enjoy reading your book. The feature empowers your device to turn the pages for you, providing visual indications to reposition your point of vision to the beginning of the next word. The process creates a very enjoyable reading experience, and easier flow of words. While you are reading files, they are automatically scrolled and reflowed to provide an easy to read experience, which removes the need to scroll as with traditional readers and viewers.

PDF Reader Mobile allows you to jump directly to any page of the document. Simply select the page you would like to view.

Settings

PDF Reader Mobile saves settings for each file individually. You can change the Font Size for each document independently, as well as change the Ignore Line Breaks option.

PDF Login

PDF Reader Mobile PDF Password protection. When PDF Reader Mobile encounters a password protected PDF file, it will promot you to enter the password for the file, if you enter the correct password, the file will be displayed.

Finding characters or words

You can specify characters or words to search for, the matching text will automatically be highlighted and scrolled into visibility. Search Next functionality makes it easy to find the next occurrence of the search string. The Search Next command will be automatically added to the Left Soft Key when a successful search has been completed.

To find specific characters or words

1. From the Edit menu select Find
2. In Find what, enter the characters or words you want to find.
3. In Direction, Select the direction for the search.
4. For Match case, enable if the search is case dependant.
5. Choose Find

TIPS:

  • You may search from the beginning of the document, or forward or reverse from the current selection point.
  • Adding an extra space onto the end of the search phrase will require the space for any matches.

Change the font style and size

Everything about the display font, from the typeface, size, and weight to italics and underline is modifiable. Any font on the device is automatically recognized.

To change the font style and size

1. From the Options menu select Display Font
2. Make selections for Typeface, Size, Weight, Style, and ClearType.

TIPS:

  • An example of how the font will appear is displayed.

Registration

To enable the full functionality of the application you will need to enter a valid registration code. When you have entered your registration code properly, you will be able to select Done. If the code you have entered is incorrect, you will not be able to select done. The registration code is based upon the Owner Name in the Owner Information for the device, you may obtain a registration code by visiting the Orneta website @ or mobile site @ http://mobile.orneta.com

TIP: The Owner Information must be setup for the registration code to work properly, and must match the username of the Registration code exactly.
