Cut and Paste Basics
Do you remember using Scissors when you were younger? You would cut along the lines, and next you would paste it with glue onto another piece of paper. Devices share this same concept, you can cut information from one place and paste it into another. Once you learn to cut and paste, your device will become much more powerful.
Select Text with MarkEditâ„¢
Before you can cut or copy text, you need to specify the text by selecting it. Enter MarkEditâ„¢, a simple and easy way to select text.
- Move to the first part of the text you want to select.
- Select the Mark command from the Edit menu
- Move to the last part of the text you want to select.
Rearrange Text with Cut and Paste
You can move text from one location in a document to another, or even another document.
- Select the text to move; use MarkEditâ„¢.
- Cut the text; select the Cut command from the Edit menu.
- Move to the new location and Paste; select the Paste command from theEdit menu.
Copy Text Anywhere with Copy and Paste
It's easy to copy information from one location to another. You can even copy information from one document to another.

Select All Text
Select All is a helpful feature that can save time, by automatically selecting all of the text in the document. Select All is only available when the Full Menu is enabled.
1. Select the Select All command from the Edit menu.
Undo and Redo Previous Actions
Paste text into the wrong place, and the Undo command can save a lot of time. As the name suggests, it will undo the last action. If you didn't mean to undo an action, the Redo command can fix that.
- Select the Undo command from the Edit menu.
Unusable Commands Are Grayed
When a command cannot be accessed, it will be grayed on the menu, and unavailable. To Cut or Copy, you must Mark the text first. To Paste, you must Copy or Cut first. Additionally, the cursor must be in a valid place to paste.
Share Information Between Applications
The information from a Cut or Copy operation, will be stored in an area called the Clipboard. Each time a Cut or Copy operation is performed, the date in the Clipboard is overwritten. A Paste operation will copy the contents of the Clipboard to the current application. Any application can share information with another thru the Clipboard. The information from a Cut or Copy operation is available to any other application that can Paste the information.
Scissors Mobile Options
You can configure the way Scissors Mobile functions, simply enable or disable the options.
